Hi Big Bloke, if you didn't make the Blackpool gig a short review for you!

The Tower lounge was the new venue ,right under Blackpool Tower and support by Liverpool band Route 666 who where also Pirate fans and gave a hard rock blues set.

The Pirates followed after a short break using the support bands backline, and did their usual rip roaring set of classic numbers finishing on Shakin all Over, and an encore of Baby please don't go ! It took a while for the audience to respond and fill the void in front of the stage at the start. A large screen over the stage projected an alternative view of the band performing a head count of the attendance in the place was about 150 i wonder if the promoter broke even? The usual binge drinkers avoided the venue probably cause they had to pay to get in!

That meant the doormen had an easy night however and i got to speak with the lads after as i had not seen them for five years or so last time they played in Blackpool with Frank .

all the best John Hall /Liverpool
