Hungry For Love

Gordon Mills, 1963 (mono), 1982 (stereo)Recorded: 11-10-63

Johnny Kidd (vocals) - Mick Green (lead) - Johnny Spence (bass) - Frank Farley (drums)

Like their previous recording, the top five hit "I'll Never Get Over You", this was written by Kidd's manager Gordon Mills. According to John McNally, the Searchers got hold of the song before the Kidd (it appeared on their "Sugar And Spice" album).  Two of Kidd's biggest hits may have been "Merseybeat"-style covers but at least they were the definitive versions and their success gave the group a few more years of life.
