Please Don't Touch

Heath-Robinson, 1959.  Recorded: 18-04-59

Johnny Kidd (vocals) - Mike West, Tom Brown (backing Vocals) - Alan Caddy (lead) - Tony Doherty (rhythm) - Johnny Gordon (bass) - Ken McKay (drums)

The song that kicked it all off, full of energy and vitality and despite only reaching number 25 in the UK Top 30.  It still managed to spawn many cover versions, although a few less than its more famous sibling, "Shakin' All Over".  Kidd re-made the song for the aborted 1964 album.  (see also "Please Don't Touch" (version 2) - 1964)  N.B. Ken McKay was replaced during the session by Don Toye.
